“Instruments in His hands” by Charles H. Spurgeon

“The Holy Spirit alone can convert a soul; none can enter into the kingdom of God except they are born again from above. All the work is done by the Holy Spirit; and we must not take to ourselves any part of the credit for the result of the work, for it is the Spirit who new-creates and works in man according to the eternal purpose of God. Still, we may be instruments in His hands, for He chooses to use instruments, and He chooses them for wise reasons.”

–Charles H. Spurgeon, “Sermons Likely to Win Souls” in The Soul Winner.
