“The Lord Jesus Christ has done what we ought to have done, and suffered what we
ought to have suffered.

He has taken our place and become our substitute both in life and death, and all
for the sake of miserable, corrupt, ungrateful beings like ourselves.

Oh, is not His name then rightly called, ‘_The Lord our Righteousness_‘ (**Jeremiah
23:6**)?”
