60. Q. How are you righteous before God?
A. Only by true faith in Jesus Christ.[1] Although my conscience accuses me that I have grievously sinned against all God’s commandments, have never kept any of them,[2] and am still inclined to all evil,[3] yet God, without any merit of my own,[4] out of mere grace,[5] imputes to me the perfect satisfaction, righteousness, and holiness of Christ.[6] He grants these to me as if I had never had nor committed any sin, and as if I myself had accomplished all the obedience which Christ has rendered for me,[7] if only I accept this gift with a believing heart.[8]

How are you righteous before God?
By repenting and turning from your sins. Never to sin again. The elect of God who are born again cannot sin because they are born of God (1 John 3:9)
Your explanation is a crafty and a twisted lie that will take many to hell.
The elect of God are sinless, perfect, and holy and do keep the commandments of God. The non elect are still in their sins and cannot break free as they have been passed over by God. Do please read your Bible as you seem to be a bit mixed up. This is too important to make a mistake with. Joseph.
“If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” 1 John 1:8
Thank you for starting to read your bible but you are still not reading it enough and not understanding it correctly.
“If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” 1 John 1:8
The above passage you tried to use to convict me of present sin has no effect on me as it is referring to the state of an unconverted sinner
denying he has sin and is deceiving himself and the truth is not in him.
Before my conversion I was a sinner just like you are now and admitted that I was a sinner unlike the fellow in John 1:8
I have been converted by God and do not sin anymore.
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 1 John:3:9
We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not;
1 John 5:18
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
1 John 3:6
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not is referring to me as I am born again & sin not.
Whosoever sinneth has not seen him, neither known him is referring to you as you are still in your sins. Joseph K
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
RE “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
Thank you for reading your bible and reminding me of the above verse which further confirms what I have been trying to make you understand.
As stated in the above verse 1 John 1:9 I have confessed all my sins and God was faithful and just and have forgiven me all my sins and cleansed me from all my unrighteousness and the blood of Jesus Christ has cleansed me from all sin as stated in 1 John 1:7.
As I stated in my original comment, that I am now sinless and holy as Jesus Christ’s blood has cleansed me.
Just as a reminder, the above verses only apply to the born again elect of God, and the rest will die in their sins. Then they will say “Lord Lord” And Jesus Christ will say to them. “I never knew you”

Will you give me a reply, or will you ignore me ?

Hi Joseph,
You wrote earlier: “I have been converted by God and do not sin anymore.” Are you saying that since your conversion you have never once sinned against God in word, thought, or deed?
–Nick
That is right. Not since my conversion.

Let he or she who has not sinned cast the first stone?
1 John 3:9 KJV “doth not sin” is literal translation of Greek “ἁμαρτίαν οὐ ποιεῖ”, which literally means “sin not [habitually, continually] commits”. Words in brackets are important info gleaned from present tense-indicative mood of of Greek poiei. Present-indicative is for continuous, habitual action, otherwise aorist mood would have been used.
ESV has it more accurately: “No one born of God makes a practice of sinning”.
